To kick off our campaign, we will be visiting hospitals across the United States to expose the unknowns of HAIs and educate on prevention. Our campaign trail will begin in Georgia at East Georgia Regional Center in Statesboro, GA. With a booth set up in the hospital's cafeteria, we will be educating all hospital staff on facts about HAIs, methods of prevention, and what you can do to make a difference in the life of your patient. We will have prize giveaways and games for all, so come join us!
National Health Education Week
October 15-19
National Health Education Week will soon be upon us. We are encouraging all hospitals and other healthcare facilities to use this week to educate your employees on the dangers of HAIs and prevention methods. Programs can include informational sessions, games, handwashing training, glove protocol classes, etc. For other program ideas, interactive learning material, and printable information material, visit our website.
Annual Walk for Awareness
In effort to continue to educate today's healthcare workforce, The Ugly Truth is putting on a walk in Atlanta, Georgia. The walk will be available to the general public. This will allow the community, potential patients, to also learn information on HAIs, prevention, and signs to look for when you are the patient. Registration will be open from October 5th to November 2nd and will be $25. This will get the participant a t-shirt and lunch. Additional proceeds will go toward continued research of HAIs.
